Fredericks Foundscape #4.  This time I've combined the sounds of birds, my van, phone messages, air travel (including crying babies) and some IRS on-hold music.

Not Gonna Happen

As a fan of the surreal, I must say these are interesting times. I took sounds and voices from my everyday life and mixed them with what the media is feeding me. Combined, the result is rather nightmarish. I hope you enjoy.

The story goes...            Not trying to be a jerk.         Coming undone.      Jesus is the answer.      Will you please hang up.

I'm afraid.      It should frighten us all.     Hurt her/Don't hurt her.          Palin hip-hops.         Not gonna happen.

We Could Be Stupid

February caught me up short. So, this episode got a little rushed. I've tried not to pay too much attention to the competitive  interviewing process currently going on. But, I've not been having too much success, as you will hear.

Attention.     An inattentive driver reminds me of Donald Trump.          Marco Rubio removes his gloves.        Drunk Reagan.

Someone attack me please.     Magical thinking.        Competitive interviewing.                      Ted Cruz: Basket Case.      Stupid.

Donald doesn't know.      Marco does stand up.

Fear Itself

Fear, terror, phobia however you describe it seems like many people are caught up in its grip. Thanks to Trump's tongue and ISIS' actions, I haven't been able stop thinking about the effects of fear. I almost used parts of a previous podcast, but there was no need. I found fear nearly everywhere I turned.

Should we be afraid of....?     War on terror: they're doing it on purpose.       New America statistics with updates.

Robots and Tech Troubles

Inspired by a confluence of news articles and automated phones calls I decided to put technology to the test (Turing to be precise).

Volkswagen robot kills co-worker.           Musk, Hawking & Wozniak warning.        Robotophilia.    

Amanda takes the Turing test.       Jane gets her chance.           I didn't catch the winner's name.   

 Tech troubles and the robotic people who address them.    This is not a sales call.

Percepetition

This episode, number one hundred, examines auditory illusions. First focusing on the affect repetition has on what we perceive.  Shepard's Paradox is one weird phenomena and shows up far more frequently than you might realize.
